By MINISTER of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Tuesday, said the Federal Government is unable to implement the capital votes of the 2017 budget because of lack of funds. The declaration by Mohammed was coming some 24 hours after the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, told foreign visitors that the Federal Government would soon release N750 billion to fund capital projects in the 2017 budget. Speaking during the 2018 budget defence session, at the Senate, on Tuesday, Mohammed said “it is not that government is deliberately withholding releases to fund the 2017 budget or starving us.
